Family Travel Services has been bringing families to the SUNSHINE STATE since 1991.
My interest in the travel industry was ignited during a conversation with my uncle Allen.
A little about UNCLE AL
Uncle Allen attended Winter Park High School, then the University of Florida as a member of Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity, where he received a Bachelor of Building Construction. Allen was also a World War II Veteran in the Army Air Corps. Allen served as Mayor of Winter Park from 1962-1967. He left a legacy of landmarks that we can point out as we drive around Winter Park today. These structures came from his hard work and design, and many of them serve a specific purpose in our everyday lives. He was outspoken and very proud about having had the opportunity to build much of the Winter Park community and areas around Central Florida. Elected in 1994, he proudly served as State Representative in the Florida House of Representatives, representing the people of Winter Park for eight years. He was a true Statesman. He loved telling stories about his childhood and swimming the local lakes with the alligators. During his time in the legislature he was The Department Chair on the Committee of Tourism and visited most all of the parks in the state.
I am so proud as his nephew to keep bringing tourism to the GREAT STATE OF FLORIDA in my uncle’s name and legacy.
